Re: Aloes and Agave.
The flowers are like Aloe thraskii. One of the best large large Aloes. The foliage is A.marlothii. It might be a hybrid. Or,the flower stalk of a.marlothii growing verttical in a greenhouse's less intense UV. Correction" It might be Aloe ferox.

Re: Aloes and Agave.
All looking so healthy Stan. You warmed up my morning (5 C and cloudy, with no improvement forecast).

Re: Aloes and Agave.
Thanks Tom. Its been near 70f about everyday lately. This weekend they are calling -again- for record setting warm temps. Some people think I'm making things up,embelishing..HOW do you make that up? lol..its either a record or not . It felt very much like spring today. I was recycling and in the sun getting warmed up. The good news is that they are calling for rain the weekend after. They say it has pineapple express roots. We will see.

Re: Aloes and Agave.
Thanks Troy. It was a good find at Home Depot last spring. I figured I have many red flowering plants, try for a yellow Aloe. TODAY,was historic. Our warmest January day EVER..smashing last weeks 74,with either a 79f (Weather Channel, station unknown) or 78f Weather Underground and its HAYX station. The official station. In the Hayward Hills? 82!. Ok,I can die now. We had an 80f someplace in Hayward in January. I used to say I would be sure of Global Warming if that ever happened, on the internet years ago. It happened.

Re: Aloes and Agave.
Pix of A. ferox don't show the warty bits on upper or lower leaf surface.
Wouldn't the upright flowers occur in stronger rather than weaker light?

Re: Aloes and Agave.
I think it probably (hows that for 100%?) a Aloe marlothii flowering with its stalk stretched. A.marlothi isn't called "Flat flowered Aloe" for nothing. I see on the internet a few warty leafed large Aloes called .A.ferox. Those just could be mistakes.

Aloe vanballini in winter green.
My second largest Pachypodium lameri, this is the largest in ground. Its a different cultivar- darker, smaller foliage.
Aloe marlothii flower.
Same,but closer. Eye candy shot.
